Sorry, Kathy... it's Kelly's recipe now!
Kathy never gave this recipe out and said it would die with her. But one day at work she was a total Bee-och to me and asked how to make it up to me. Ha ha ha. And that's how I got her recipe!
(That comment was from Kelly when she texted me the recipe for "Kathy's Banana Bread." LOL! As the eldest of us girl cousins, Kelly learned how to get things done!)
Ingredients
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/3 cup white sugar
- 1/2 cup butter, plus some to grease pans
- 2 eggs (room temp)
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 3 ripe bananas, smashed or chunked
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 2 cups flour
- 1/2 cup pecans or walnuts, chopped
- 1/3 cup mini semi-sweet chocolate chips (OR try choc toffee chips)
Equipment
- Large mixing bowl
- 2 bread pans
- Sturdy mixing spoon
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease bread pans.
- Microwave the butter in large bowl until melted and stir in the brown and white sugar.
- Toss in all the other ingredients and stir until all mixed. Scoop into bread pans.
- Bake for 45 minutes to 1 hour, depending on size of pan. Test with toothpick and remove when it comes out clean.
Kelly sent me a bunch of great recipes so there's more to come!
