Tarragon Turkey Burgers

I recommend this pan. It's easy to clean.

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs ground turkey (I prefer 85/15)
  • 1/2 cup dry bread crumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated zucchini 
  • 1 teaspoon (generous, rounded) dried taragon
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • Cooking spray or oil (for grill pan)
  • Buns (buttered & toasted!)
  • Dijon, bbq, and/or lettuce optional

Equipment

  • Large mixing bowl 
  • Grater for zukes
  • Outdoor grill or broiler pan
  • Meat thermometer

Instructions

  1. Preheat broiler or grill.
  2. Combine everything EXCEPT the turkey so it all gets thoroughly mixed. Then add turkey and combine everything. 
  3. Divide the turkey concoction into 2 equal blobs. Then divide each again so you have 4 blobs of about equal size. Then divide each blob again so you have 8 balls. 
  4. Greas the broiler pan (or prepare the grill). Shape each ball into a paddy and place on broiler pan. 
  5. Broil each side 6 minutes until done. Use thermometer to ensure you don't make anyone sick.

Barnabas is allergic to turkey so he doesn't get any. He's also not allowed to bother us at the table.
