Aunt Sheila’s BBQ Meatballs

Ingredients

Meatballs
  • 1 1/2 lb. hamburger
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/8 tsp pepper
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 onion (chopped)
  • 1/2 cup crackers, crushed up (like Ritz)
Sauce
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup vinegar

Equipment

  • Large mixing bowl 
  • Small bowl
  • Backing pan (like for lasagna or a large cast iron skillet)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Mix hamburger, milk, salt, and pepper.
  3. Add eggs, crushed crackers, and onio; stir.
  4. Shape into balls and place in the baking pan.
  5. Mix ketchup, brown sugar, and vinegar; pour over meat.
  6. Bake uncovered for 40 minutes.
